At Sierra Six Media, we believe in using our skills to back meaningful causes. As a founding partner of SAVSIM CIC, we’ve proudly supported their work since day one, helping amplify their mission to support veterans through mental health programmes and protect endangered wildlife through conservation partnerships.

Our Director, Jade Bartholomew, sits on SAVSIM’s Development Committee, and our team provides digital marketing support across SEO, content, and campaigns.

We don’t do it for the spotlight, but when one of the people we support reaches the top of the world – quite literally – we think it’s worth shouting about.

This month, we’re celebrating Mitch Hutchcraft, a former Royal Marine and key member of the SAVSIM team, who just completed the world’s longest triathlon: a record-breaking 240-day expedition known as Project Limitless.

Project Limitless: A Journey Beyond Boundaries

Mitch’s journey began at sea level in Dover and ended on top of the world at the summit of Mount Everest. Along the way, he:

  • Swam 35km across the English Channel

  • Cycled 12,000km through Europe and Asia

  • Ran 900km from India to Kathmandu

  • Trekked over 360km through the Himalayas

  • Summited Everest at 8,849m

That’s more than 13,000km of pure endurance.

This wasn’t just a record-breaking adventure. It was a mission — raising awareness and vital funds to support veterans with PTSD and help them transition into conservation roles that protect endangered species around the globe.

In Mitch’s Words

“I’m a very average swimmer, I’m a very average runner, very average cyclist, and the reason why we are doing this project is to prove that you don’t have to be a Superman to achieve incredible things.”

“It was more magical than I could have ever dreamed it would be. Although I lost my dad 11 years ago, he was with me every step of the way. It’s been tough. Really tough. The most difficult thing I’ve ever done. But I couldn’t be happier and more proud of finishing this epic adventure.”

“This has been the most painful, but fulfilling, adventure. I just want it to inspire others to believe that whatever they’re dreaming, however small, they just need to get out there and smash it.”

Mitch’s humility, determination, and sense of purpose have inspired thousands, and we couldn’t be prouder to support the mission he’s championing.

His journey has been featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, and Cambridgeshire Live, plus many more and followed by thousands online.

Words from SAVSIM’s CEO

Our close friend and CEO of SAVSIM CIC, Joe Giordano, summed it up perfectly:

“As CEO and Co-Founder of SAVSIM CIC it gives me the enormous pleasure to announce that Mitch Hutchcraft, former Royal Marine and Veteran, has reached the summit of Mount Everest.

He has swam the English Channel, cycled to India, trekked to base camp and today achieved the ultimate in human achievement… the top of the World!

Thank you Mitch, on behalf of the veterans we support and the animals we protect.”

Joe has worked closely with Mitch for years, and like us, has been cheering him on every step of the way. His words are a reminder of what this mission is truly about — supporting real people doing extraordinary things, for causes that matter.

It’s been a privilege to work alongside both Joe and Mitch on this journey and to help share the story of a mission that’s changing lives across continents.

FAQs about Mitch & Project Limitless

Who is Mitch Hutchcraft?

Mitch Hutchcraft is a former Royal Marine, adventurer, and member of SAVSIM CIC’s Development Committee. He’s known for completing the world’s longest triathlon — a 240-day expedition from Dover to the summit of Mount Everest, but his passion for pushing boundaries and supporting meaningful causes goes far beyond a single expedition.

Project Limitless is Mitch Hutchcraft’s self-designed endurance challenge to raise money for SAVSIM. It involved swimming the English Channel, cycling nearly 12,000km across 19 countries, running 900km into Nepal, and summiting Mount Everest.

Prior to Project Limitless, Mitch rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, completed a 5,000km solo cycle across America, and summited several of the world’s toughest peaks. He’s also been a vocal advocate for mental health, resilience, and veteran reintegration through his adventures.

Mitch joined the Royal Marines at 21, shortly after the loss of his father. He served for six years before leaving in 2021. His military experience shaped his mindset and inspired his ongoing mission to support fellow veterans through endurance challenges and conservation work.

The challenge took 240 days in total, covering more than 13,000km from sea level in the UK to the top of the world.

Mitch created Project Limitless to raise £500,000 for SAVSIM, a charity supporting veterans with PTSD and helping them transition into conservation roles protecting endangered wildlife.

There’s no official confirmation yet, but the scale and impact of Project Limitless have generated media buzz. You can follow Mitch on Instagram @_mitchhutch for updates.

You can donate directly via givestar.io/gs/limitless. Every contribution helps fund therapy for veterans and global wildlife conservation.
