What matters for display marketing?
If you’re new to marketing your online business, one of the main challenges is knowing what you should focus on to make your efforts as effective as possible.
Goals
Display marketing is used primarily to drive brand awareness and reach and works well with other paid traffic sources such as Google ads and social media paid ads.
Assets
Text-based, image or video advertisements must be considered to encourage the user to clickt hrough to a landing page and take action, there's up to 10 formats available.
Ad networks
Deciding your prefered ad network will have a serious impact on conversions due to compliance and network restrictions, its best to consult an expert on this.
Products / service

Audience
Looking to aquire new customers? perhaps you'd like to retarget those who found you via search? Look-a-like audiences and email lists work well too. Call us to find out more.
Did you know
Google’s Display Ad Network reaches 90% of global internet users.
Did you know?
53% of marketers use behavioral retargeting or remarketing on desktop.
Did you know?
68% of marketers say that paid advertising is "extremely important" to their marketing strategy.
What is display marketing?
Display marketing is advertisements that are seen by users who have previously visited your website, the adverts are designed to keep your business fresh in their minds and get them to reconsider your product or service. Your ads can be text-based, image, or video with up to 10 size formats available. Ads that are linked to specific landing pages yield the highest ROI in our experience but they can link to other pages too.
Renting ad space
Similar to offline advertising in newspapers and such, advertisement space on the internet has to be essentially rented out before you can display your adverts. However the ‘billing’ is not as scary as it sounds, most ads operate on a cost-per-click (cpc) payment which means you only have to pay when consumers click on your adverts. Other options for this include CPT (cost per thousand), CPL (cost per lead) and CPS (cost per sale).
The importance of display marketing
Display marketing is one of the strongest markets on the global internet. Global net sales amount to more than 1.5 billion from desktop and mobile. Mobile search Is growing at an exponential rate, which is often overlooked by marketers. We directly address the marketing trends and use that data to determine how your ads will be best displayed to your audience.
Building brand awareness
Consumers are unlikely to buy from a brand that they have never seen or heard of before, that’s why display advertising gives you the benefit of making consumers aware of your brand.

Display ads are targetted
In marketing it’s important to target the right people who are most relevant to your business. With display marketing, you can create specific parameters – which sites your ad appears on, which geographic area they appear in and which demographic they appear to.

Ecommerce PPC
Is e-Commerce PPC for me?
For e-Commerce websites we use Google Shopping, linking your Google Ads account to Google Merchant Center and setting up your product feed. Google indexes your product data and uses it to create a digital profile for your store, that way Google can generate the most relevant ad using your product when a user searches for an item.
Suitable for online shops including Shopify, Woo-commerce, and Magenta that need help optimising specific products or product categories. Suitable for those companies who require an SEO strategy to enhance their paid or social media marketing channels.
What We Do

Prioritise products
We'll audit your website to determine which pages receive the most traffic and discover which products are most searched for on your site. Perhaps there's a particular product line or category you'd like to focus on or a seasonal collection you'd like to optimise ahead of your competition. We'll work with you to form a strong strategy.
Ad Creation
Ad creation is a simple process for e-commerce campaigns, these ads are made up of a headline, a few lines of text, and sometimes an image depending on the type of ad we choose.
Keyword Selection
when working on a PPC campaign, we have to choose some keywords which will "trigger" your ad to appear on a search result. Your ad will only appear when users search for those specific keywords or close variations, this is to ensure your products are only being shown to the most relevant consumers.
Bidding
Once we have created your ads and chosen your keywords you can decide how much you want to "bid" for your ads to be displayed. Bids vary depending on how much competition there is for your keywords. Higher-volume, more profitable keywords mean you will pay more per click than if you were bidding on lower-volume keywords. Which is why we ensure that you are bidding on the correct terms for your products.
Did you know
89% of traffic generated through Google Ads is not replaced by organic when ads are paused.
Did you know?
Adverts placed on the Google Display Network reach up to 90% of internet users
Did you know?
PPC visitors are 50% more likely to purchase something than organic visitors.
e-Commerce PPC campaigns are adaptable
PPC campaigns can be easily adapted to the current circumstances of your business. If you’re experiencing fewer sales than usual or having a ‘slow’ month you are able to increase your ad spend or decrease it depending on your finances. If you want to quickly advertise a sale because of an event you can with ease. You can also quickly remove ads if you decide to change up your look or removing stock. With PPC you have an amazing amount of control over the way your ads run and when.
Visual product ads
When you are selling a product on Google shopping, Google provides an option for visual ads (product listing ads) that can help a user see what they are clicking on. These ads can improve click-through rate by offering a feature that is not otherwise available In organic search.
Consumers often like to see a product before purchasing and by displaying your product on the SERPs you are skipping over multiple steps of the consumer journey – clicking on a website, searching for a product, scrolling through hundreds of items, and clicking on an item, and your product just gets straight to the point.
Is SEO better for e-Commerce sites?
You can get traffic from SEO however, PPC drives fast results, whereas SEO can take months to see the results. Plus running paid ads increases your brand visibility, getting your advertisements seen by the right people.
With PPC there is also the added bonus of being able to test and feedback on different campaigns, whether you want to test a new product or marketing message. As well as split testing of ads, landing pages, and call-to-action buttons, to determine the best results.
Brand visibility
When a webpage isn’t visible fewer people know about what the brand is offering, which means sales and growth are both limited. Therefore by using PPC, you can increase your brand visibility and brand awareness. Your ads will dominate above the fold content and get your advertisements seen by the right people, on page 1 of Google.

Measureable ROI
Carefully crafted ad campaigns can achieve amazing conversion rates and sales numbers. Plus results from PPC ads equate to trackable leads and a general upturn in website success. The ROI is measurable and you are able to analyse data and make adjustments to increase your ROI.

Local SEO or Local Search
Is Local SEO for me?
Any business that has a physical location or serves a geographic area can benefit from local SEO. If you search Google for any important keywords related to your business and a map with 3 listings appears underneath it (also known as a map pack), then local SEO can help you grow your business.
Local search has been around for years, but it was limited due to people only using their desktop computers. With the recent growth in mobile internet access, however, mobile search has exploded, so local SEO has become hugely important for the success of any business offering local products or services and local marketers.
What matters for local SEO?
If you’re new to marketing your online business, one of the main challenges is knowing what you should focus on to make your efforts as effective as possible.
Localised content
It's important to build local landing pages for each of your locations- especially if you're a multiple location business. Include details like address, points of interest and accessability.
Link building
Build relationships with local business and ask for features on their websites. People like to shop locally, especially post 2020.
Google My Business
Absolutely essential to rank in maps and boost your Google Business Card. Use all the features, stay up to date and refresh your photos often.
Local Citations
Data aggregators publish your business in online in local directories with and without permission. Make sure all the information is up to date.
Review signals
Google reviews and Facebook reviews work best for local business. They encourage local visitors to leave honest feedback and build culture in their town.
Website content
If you can share case studies, experiences and stories from those within your commuity, you're bound to improve conversions. Think about you content for a local audience.
Did you know
As many as 46% of all Google searches are local
Did you know?
Over 50% of 'near me' searches result in a physical store visit.
Did you know?
70% of consumers will go to a physical store if SEO is reliable
Taking full advantage of local searches in your area
We know, from first-hand experience, how hard it is to get your name out there and build a solid reputation. That’s why our Local SEO services take full advantage of local Google search enquiries.
We optimise for potential local customers wanting to contact you directly for more information about your business and the services you offer. We build up your google my business profile and online directories, aligning all your details and services so that you appear on those ‘near me’ searches. We create a brand new sitemap for your website based on local search terms. Lastly, we create schema foundations to allow Google to best understand location-based structured information to improve map listing.
“Near me” or "close by" searches grew by more than 900% over two years.
Local SEO tactics will help you to appear for “open now” and “near me” searches. After the pandemic, people are more willing to support local businesses, so we will make sure you have set-up your Google My Business Page and Maps listings to give you visibility on local search results
A large majority of consumers now search for local businesses that they will rely on, on a regular basis, using the ‘near me’ feature of google maps and other apps. AI technology ensures an accurate display of results in real-time using Google maps and other geo-locations.
Location Authority
Google favours websites that are trusted, which means your content needs to add value, be accurate across all sites – this means to gain good location authority your address and details need to be correct on every directory and map listing. Consistency is key. Don’t worry this is a part of our strategy, we will align all of those directories for you as part of our service.
Mobile and local go hand in hand, especially where voice search is concerned. Users ask on-the-go queries using their phones and other devices. Make sure information like directions, location and contact info is readily accessible and correct on your websites landing page.
Local SEO is measureable
Local SEO is also completely measurable in terms of leads generated. Each phone call and enquiry can be tracked, which means we can accurately measure the percentage increase of leads through local search.
Local SEO strategies deliver real, measurable results, at a speed not seen with national campaigns. Our most successful campaign saw a 313% increase in daily revenue and 250 new google reviews.

Local search is trustworthy
Localised enquiries are statistically proven to be more ‘trusted’ by a potential customer.
This is actually the first year Google has advertised Google Reviews on a tv advert in support of local high streets, highlighting the importance of making sure you are seen on local searches.

Did you know

Did you know?
Over 50% of 'near me' searches result in a physical store visit.
Did you know?

SEO creates traffic and traffic creates sales.
As we know, consumers perform a google search when looking for a product or service, whether they’re searching for options, tips, or other information. If your website isn’t there on the first search engine results page (SERP) to greet them then it’s unlikely your site will be seen.
Your products may have a space on the world-wide-web, but are they findable? Ecommerce SEO helps you to reach your target audience without paying for ads and once people are on your site you just need good call to actions to turn that traffic into sales.
You're missing out on 99% of your potential traffic
Only 0.7% of consumers explore the second page of Google, which means if you’re not on page 1 of the SERP’s then you’re missing out on 99% of potential customers. – That’s a big number isn’t it? So why would you let that happen?
When a webpage isn’t visible fewer people know about what the brand is offering, which means sales and growth are both limited, meanwhile competitors who are ranking higher on SERPs are consistently seeing an increase of sales and profits.
Is PPC better for ecommerce sites?
You can get traffic from paid search, however, SEO costs much less. PPC is a short-term solution to a long-term problem. PPC drives fast results , whereas SEO can take months to see the results, but the effects of SEO will last for years with small updates every now and then to keep the content fresh.
Furthermore, ad-blockers are extremely popular now which reduces the effectiveness of paid search. You can pay continuously to advertise on Google Shopping or you can pay for SEO and have your website optimised to rank on page 1 of Google for relevant search terms.
Ecommerce SEO builds credibility
There is the perception that anyone can pay their way to the top of search results, which is why many people skip straight over PPC results at the top of the SERP. Significantly more people click on organic search results, and when your content appears at the top you gain more credibility from your audience than if you were to pay to appear at the top.

Ecommerce SEO is a long term solution
When you stop paying for PPC ads any website traffic you were receiving will stop and your website still isn’t on the first page of Google – you effectively disappear from the view of consumers. Whereas if you have optimised your website with an ecommerce SEO strategy and achieved good search engine placement your traffic won’t disappear immediately, even if you take a break from web dev.

SEO Optimisation For Voice Search
Is Voice SEO for me?
Voice Search is up 3500%, yet only 4% of businesses are ready.
It’s is an up-and-coming marketing tool that was first introduced by Google in 2011 but has only become popular over recent years with many popular brands introducing wifi-connected devices and enhancing voice-enabled functions. Google Home, Amazon Echo and Apple Homepod are among a few examples of smart speakers with voice search functions which over 2 in 5 adults use daily.
According to Comscore, by 2020 50% of all queries were voice-based. This is bad news for any business which hasn’t updated their online profiles in a while. 48% of people search for local businesses with phrases such as “which restaurants are open near me?” and if your business is difficult to find online, or the information is confusing, it is unlikely to show up in those searches.
An analysis of 73,000 business listings in 2019 found that 96% of all business locations fail to list their business information correctly. This study implies that only 4% of businesses are voice-search ready! We can improve your voice-search results by using search engine optimisation to boost your google position and input the correct information on your business pages such as Google My Business.
We can help your business be in front of other businesses in search by upping your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) game, giving your customers instant access to your company information such as opening times, location, reviews, etc, and being recommended by the top voice user interface.
What matters for Voice SEO?
If you’re new to marketing your online business, one of the main challenges is knowing what you should focus on to make your efforts as effective as possible.
'Near me'
Voice SEO tactics will help you to appear for “near me” searches. Consumers are keen to support local businesses, so we will make sure you have set-up your Google My Business Page and Maps listings to give you visibility on local search results
'How to'
Although short-tailed keywords are useful for boosting SEO, when it comes to voice-search we have to consider what a natural voice enquiry would be and how your website can answer them, this includes long-tail keywords.
Local Business
We can improve your voice-search results by using search engine optimisation to boost your google position and we'll make sure information like location and contact info is readily accessible and correct on your landing page, business pages, maps listings and directories.
Q&A's
In relation to Conversational keywords you will need to have content which asks the major questions for your business and products / services: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How and include detailed content that answers those key questions.
Schema Markup
We can use Schema Markup to create rich snippets – search results with extra information shown under the title, description and URL such as star ratings, this is information that voice user interface's will draw from your business and read out loud to searches.
Readability
The readability of your website is important when voice SEO is involved because the technology reads your information aloud, we'll make sure that the content on your website is dramatically correct, uses the correct tone, length and keyword distribution.
Did you know
41% of adults use voice search at least once per day
Did you know?
58% of consumers used voice search to find a local business
Did you know?
Smart speaker usage is projected to rise at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 48%
Voice and browser search are not the same
When we optimise for browser searches we generally use short keywords and terms for example “running shoes” the difference between voice and browser search is that searches by voice are much more conversational.
Instead of saying “running shoes” to Alexa a consumer would ask “where can I buy running shoes?” or “where’s the nearest running shoe store?” This means we optimise voice search content for long-tail keywords / conversational keywords, these usually include questions or statements.
Not all content has to be voice search friendly
As you know in voice SEO we target long-tail, conversational key terms such as “find a supermarket nearby” however this doesn’t mean all of your website content has to be conversational. It’s good to have a mix of long-tail and short-tail keywords on your website, this gives you the best opportunity to optimise for voice search and browser search at the same time. If you include some of the basic questions consumers may ask, on your website then voice interfaces will find and use that content to answer consumer questions quickly.
Website load time
Not only is mobile responsiveness one of Google’s top-ranking factors, but website load time (LCP) is also a huge factor, especially when it comes to voice SEO.
The top results of the voice search had an average wait time which was almost half of the average wait time of the top-ranked websites on a traditional search. This means your website wait time needs to be short enough to grab the attention of not only your customers but of coveted voice search algorithms too.
Mobile and local go hand in hand
Mobile and local go hand in hand, especially where voice SEO is concerned. Users ask on-the-go queries using their phones and other devices which means your website should be mobile-friendly. Make sure information like directions, location, and contact info is readily accessible and correct on your landing page.

Is your demographic using voice search?
Voice search algorithms use location and several data points to understand search context, we also have to look further into understanding our consumers and their behavior. Real-time data and research on consumer insights can help understand how different people use search. For example, Millenials and Gen Z prefer using voice search over the older generations.

Technical SEO Services Agency
Is Technical SEO for me?
With over 200 on-site ranking factors, it’s no wonder some companies get stretched with the implementation of technical SEO.
Although modern search engines like Google are pretty good at discovering and understanding content, there are simple technical issues that can prevent them from crawling and indexing web pages, preventing them from showing in search results. We will check your URLs with tools like Robots.txt and Google Search Console to ensure search engines are able to crawl them. We can secure your website with HTTPS encryption. We’ll clear up any duplicate content as to not waste web-crawler time and/or budget. We can create a sitemap for you as “sitemaps are the second discovery option most relevant to googlebot” including all your pages even orphan pages means Google doesn’t have to dig as far to find them.
We can even use Schema Markup to create rich snippets – search results with extra information shown under the title, description and URL such as star ratings.
What matters for Technical SEO?
If you’re new to marketing your online business, one of the main challenges is knowing what you should focus on to make your efforts as effective as possible.
Domain Overview
We will look at your domain overview and determine the top organic keywords you are ranking for, your traffic sources, your current ranking positions and more, with this we can determine an SEO strategy personalised to your company.
Link structure
We'll make sure your website is secure with HTTPS and that your links are readable, the correct length and contain some keywords.
Speed & Load Times
Page speed is a significant ranking factor for Google. A fast site will appear higher in search rankings than a slow website which frustrates consumers and increases bounce rate.
Site health
Crawlability, page speed, mobile responsiveness and duplicate content are just a few factors that could be affecting your site health and seriously damaging your chances of ranking on Google.
Site Content
With technical SEO we ensure that all website content can be easily crawled and indexed by Google without issue.
Sitemap
By creating a sitemap we are essentially creating a hierarchy of your site, allowing search engines to navigate the most relevant content.

Did you know?

Why do I need technical SEO if I already use another type of SEO?
Technical SEO is the foundation of your search engine optimisation strategy. Without technical SEO, your strategy has no backbone. By improving the technical aspects of your website we can improve your ranking position on SERPs because technical SEO ensures that your website can be crawled and indexed by Google without any issues.
Technical SEO is not the be-all and end-all of SEO but you need it to make everything else in your strategy significantly easier.
Technical is more important now than ever
With the recent Google update (Web Core Vitals), it’s now imperative that websites are held to a higher standard in your technical SEO strategy. The most important ranking factors on Google now include page speed and mobile responsiveness.
Technical SEO and Web Traffic
With a technical SEO strategy in place, you will see an improvement in your website ranking, visibility, and traffic. When your website is optimised you appear higher in the search results on Google, 75% of all web traffic only click on the first five results on the SERP. With the first position on Google receiving up to 33% of all clicks it’s no wonder there’s so much competition for the spot.
Increased reach across all channels
When your content is crawlable it means search engines such as Google and Bing can easily discover your content, index it, and display it. In turn, more people can find your company and there is potential for an increase in sales or leads.

Position Zero search results
If Google can easily crawl and index your content then you have a better chance of appearing higher ins search results including position zero is not just the top of search results. Position zero means you content can be featured in the “people also ask” and “featured snippets” sections on Google.

National SEO
Is National SEO for me?
We place resources strategically to get the most from your budget whilst appealing to a national audience, building your brand and your lead list.
Although it is similar to local SEO, National SEO focuses on broad keyword terms rather than ranking for specific locations. The main goal of national SEO is to establish a strong national presence.
National SEO aims to attract customers nationwide. This is highly recommended for online businesses, or for those businesses where the location is irrelevant. When your company’s products and services aren’t limited to your business’ physical location.
For example, if your website targets the whole of the UK, you will want to use a National SEO strategy in favour of Local SEO and generate national rankings for your keywords. This can often be achieved with content posts such as blogs, guides, whitepapers and visual content, we can create something that broadens the scope of the keywords you can rank for.
What matters for national SEO?
If you’re new to marketing your online business, one of the main challenges is knowing what you should focus on to make your efforts as effective as possible.
Keyword Targetting
Unlike local seo, with National SEO we have to target more general keywords and terms which are much more difficult to rank for as there is much larger competition.
Audience segmentation
When you're looking on a national scale, your audience will be huge, this means its impresitive that we organise your audience by categories such as demographics and behaviour, making it much easier to target ads at the correct groups.
Geographical Targetting
Absolutely essential to rank in maps and boost your Google Business Card. Use all the features, stay up to date and refresh your photos often.
National Branding
To be able to compete with the big brands on a large scale you need to be doing national branding, getting your name out there and known by people. Your brand name is the first keyword to rank for to ensure people know who you are.
Website Content
Your website needs high quality content that provides value and contains lots of your national keywords, including the names of cities / other locations you want to appear for on search.
Business Positioning
...

As many as 46% of all Google searches are local

Over 50% of 'near me' searches result in a physical store visit.

70% of consumers will go to a physical store if SEO is reliable
Optimising for broad key terms
National SEO aims to generate leads and sales from all across the country. Although it is similar to local SEO, national SEO focuses on broad keywords instead of ranking for specific geographical terms and focusing less on the ‘near me’ searches. Because with national SEO we are focusing on broader terms this of course means there is much more competition with a much larger market which you have to compete for. To ensure you are competing and ranking for those key terms we will include long-tail keywords in your website content, making search queries more specific.
The difference between local SEO and national SEO.
Local SEO tactics will help you to appear for “open now” and “near me” searches, this is a good option for new businesses because its better to target local customers who just want a nearby business. Whereas national SEO will help you to appear for much broader search terms, where consumers are often looking for industry leaders. National SEO is ideal for e-commerce stores and companies that offer goods and services nationwide – not limited to an actual location. However, there will always be some exceptions. To find out the best route for your business schedule a consultation with us.
Location Authority
Although local SEO and national SEO are different they still have one thing in common and that’s location authority. Google favours websites that are trusted, which means your content needs to add value, be accurate across all sites – this means, similarly to local SEO, to gain good location authority your address and details need to be correct on every directory and map listing. Consistency is key. Don’t worry this is a part of our strategy, we will align all of those directories for you as part of our service.
National SEO establishes experitse
Using a national SEO strategy generally means you are targeting a much larger audience with tough competition. This may help to prove that your brand has lots of experience and has already established its expertise with a smaller audience beforehand.
National SEO means BIG competition
By using a national SEO strategy you are competing with much larger brands, you may be competing on a level with some of the most well-known brands in the country, and if you are appearing above some of the top brands for key search terms then you are likely to see a huge increase in sales and growth. You may even be able to penetrate the international market.
